Answers :
1) Answer: B
Population density of Alwar= Total population of city / Land Area
= > 10 = (3200 + x) / 600
= > 6000 = x + 3200
= > x = 2800 (males)
Gender Ratio of Alwar= Total Number of males / Total number of Females × 100
= > 2800 / 3200 × 100
= > 87.5 %
2) Answer: D
Let number of females in Mumbai be x
So number of females in Chennai = x
Total population of Mumbai = 700 × 16
= >11200
Total population of Chennai = 500 × 26
= > 13000
Now according to the question,
(13000 – x) / x × 100 = (11200 – x ) / x × 100 + 36
= > x = 5000
Males in Chennai = 13000 – 5000 = 8000
3) Answer: B
Population density of Baroda= Total population of city / Land Area
= > 34 = (9x + 8x) / 700
= > 23800 = 17x
= > x = 1400
Male population in Baroda = 1400 × 9 = 12600
Female population in Baroda = 1400 × 8 = 11200
Gender Ratio of Baroda= Total Number of males / Total number of Females × 100
= > 12600 / 11200 × 100
= > 112.5%
4) Answer: C
Population density of Delhi = Total population of city / Land Area
20 = x / 600
X = 12000
Population density of chennai= Total population of city / Land Area
26 = y / 500
Y = 13000
Required percentage = (13000 – 12000) / 13000 × 100
= >7 9/13%
5) Answer: D
Population density of Alwar= Total population of city / Land Area
10 = x / 600
x = 6000
Male: Female in Alwar = 7: 3
So male = 7 / 10 × 6000 = 4200
And female = 6000 – 4200 = 1800
Educated female: uneducated female = 11 : 7
Educated female =11 / 18 × 1800=1100
Uneducated female = 1800 – 1100 = 700
Population density of Mumbai= Total population of city / Land Area
16 = y / 700
Y = 11200
Male : Female = 9 : 5
Male in Mumbai = 9 / 14 × 11200= 7200
Female in Mumbai = 11200 – 7200 = 4000
Educate male: uneducated male = 5 : 4
Educated male in Mumbai = 5 / 9 × 7200= 4000
Uneducated male in Mumbai = 7200 – 4000 = 3200
Required percentage = Uneducated male in Mumbai/ educated female in
Alwar × 100
= (3200 – 1100 ) / 1100 × 100
= 2100 / 1100 × 100
= 2100 / 11 % more
