Answers :

Directions (1-5):

B:

CSE=160

ECE=160/2=80

Mech=1/4 * 160=40

Total number of students=57x

CSE + ECE + Mech + EEE=57x

EEE=50x

160 + 80 + 40 + 50x=57x

7x=280

x=40

Total number of students=57 * 40=2280

EEE=50 * 40=2000

C:

CSE=75/100 * 160=120

EEE=4/5 * 2000=1600

Total students=1840

Remaining students=1840 – 1600 -120=120

ECE=2/3 * 120=80

Mech=1/3 * 120=40

A:

Total=3200

Mech=2/1 * 40=80

CSE=6 * 80=480

Remaining students=3200 – 80 – 480=2640

EEE=10/11 * 2640=2400

ECE=1/11 * 2640=240

D:

CSE=1/3 * 480=160

ECE=440 – 240 – 80 – 80=40

Total students=9160 – (3200 + 1840 + 2280)=1840

160 + 40 + 40x + x=1840

41x=1640

x=40

EEE=40 * 40=1600

Mech=40

1) Answer: C

Required ratio=(480 + 160 + 120 + 160):(80 + 40 + 40 + 40)

=920:200

=23:5

2) Answer: A

Difference=1600 – 240=1360

3) Answer: B

Required percentage=1600/1840 * 100=87%

4) Answer: B

Average=(2400 + 2000 + 1600 + 1600)/4=1900

5) Answer: A

CSE=480 + 160 + 120 + 160=920

Required percentage=920/2280 * 100=40%
