1. Answer: C

The total number of male other than HR in company A and B together

= >(1200 – 400) * (70/100) + (1500 – 300) * (60/100)

= > 560 + 720 = 1280

The total number of HR in company C, D and E together

= >200 + 250 + 450 = 900

Required difference = 1280 – 900 = 380

2. Answer: A

Total number of female employees in company B

= > 1500 * (8/15) = 800

Total number of female other than HR in company B

= > (1500 – 300) * (40/100) = 480

The total number of female HR in company B

= >800 – 480 = 320

Total number of male employees in company C

= > 1000 * (3/5) = 600

The total number of male other than HR in company C

= > (1000 – 200) * (45/100) = 360

The total number of male HR in company C

= > 600 – 360 = 240

Required sum = 320 + 240 = 560

The average number of employees other than HR in all the given companies together

= > [(1200 – 400) + (1500 – 300) + (1000 – 200) + (1800 – 250) + (2400 – 450)] / 5

= > [800 + 1200 + 800 + 1550 + 1950] / 5

Total number of female other than HR in company A and C together
