a) 137%
b) 127%
c) 141%
d) 131%
e) None of these
2) The gender ratio of town D is 66more than the gender ratio of town E and the male population often D is 25600 more than the male population of town E. What is the ratio of female population of town E to the female population of town D?
a) 3:2
b) 3:1

e) None of these
3) The total population of town D is approximately what percent more or less than the total population of town C?
a) 53%
b) 48%
c) 51%
d) 55%
e) None of these
4) The gender ratio of town A is 15 more than the gender ratio of town B. if it is mentioned that the female population of town B is twice the female population of town A, then find the male population of town A?

a) 135:117
b) 123:107
c) 125:127
d) 133:125
e) None of these
Answers :
1) Answer: A
Let the female population of town C be F.
Male population of town C = F + 18400
Total Population = 2800 x 42 = 117600
Now, F +F +18400 = 117600
F = 49600
So, male population = 49600 + 18400 = 68000
= 137.09 = 137 % (approx)
2) Answer: D
Population of town D = 48 x 1200 = 57600
Population of town E = 64 x 2000 = 12800
Let male population of town E be M.
Male population of town D = M + 25600
Female population of town E = 12800 –M
Female population of town D = 57600 –M -25600 = 32000 – M
According to question,
We get M = 3200
Female population of town E = 12800 – 3200 = 9600
Female population of town D = 32000 – 3200 = 28800
Required ratio = 9600 : 28800
= 1:3
3) Answer: C
Population of town C = 42 x 2800 = 117600
Population of town D = 1200 x 48 = 57600
= 51.02 = 51%
4) Answer: B
Let F be female population of town A.
2F = female population of town B.
Total population of A = 1800 x 24 = 43200
Total population of B = 2200 x 36 = 79200
Male population of A = 43200 – F
Male population of B = 79200 – 2F
According to question,
F = 24000
Thus Male population of town A = 43200 – 24000 = 19200
5) Answer: B
Population of town A = 24 x 1800 = 43200
Population of town B = 22 x 3600 = 79200
Population of town C = 42 x 2800 = 117600
Population of town E = 64 x 2000 = 128000
Required Ratio
(79200 + 117600) : (128000 + 43200)
196800:171200
123:107
