Here we are providing new series of Reasoning Questions for upcoming exams, so the aspirants can practice it on a daily basis.

Direction (1-5): Study the following information carefully and answer the below questions.

Seven persons-P, Q, R, S, T, U, and V are purchasing a different fruits-Mango, Plum, Kiwi, Fig, Apricot, Papaya, and Peach but not necessarily in the same order. Each of them bought fruits at different weights (kg)-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of fruits.

Q bought 6kg of Papaya. U bought 7 kg of fruits. Either T or R bought plum. R bought a fruit which is twice the weight of Peach. The weight of apricot is least among other fruits. The weight of fruits bought by R and S is not an odd number. The weight of kiwi is more than that of fig.  Neither S nor T bought Apricot. The weight of mango is one kg more than the weight of Apricot. V bought neither mango nor peach. The weight of plum is less than the weight of kiwi.

Explanation

Either T or R bought plum. U bought 7 kg of fruits.

Q bought 6kg of Papaya.

From the above condition, there are two possibilities.

The weight of apricot is least among other fruits.

R bought a fruit which is twice the weight of Peach.

The weight of fruits bought by R and S is not an odd number.

From the above conditions, Apricot is 2kg.

Here the only possibility is R bought 8kg of fruit and Peach is 4kg, other than this possibility none is satisfied.

The weight of fruits bought by R and S is not an odd number.

Neither S nor T bought Apricot.

 Here the only possibility is S bought 4 kg of peach fruit.

The weight of plum is less than the weight of kiwi.

From the above condition, case2 was dropped.

V bought neither mango nor peach.

The weight of mango is one kg more than the weight of Apricot.

The weight of kiwi is more than that of fig. Case1 shows the final arrangement.
