Explanation

We have:

  • T sits third to the left of the eldest person.
  • The eldest one neither married in 1991 nor sits adjacent to the second youngest one.

That means, in case (1) T sits at the left end, in case (2) T sits second from the left end, in case (3) T sits second from the left end.

  • R, who was married in 1993, sits three places left of Q.
  • Q neither sits at the end nor the youngest.

That means, in case (1) R sits second from the left end, in case (2) R sits at left end, in case (3a) R sits at left end, in case (3b) R sits second from the left end.

Based on the above given information we have:

Again, we have:

  • The one who was married in 1991 is younger to U but elder than Q and S.

U > 1991 > Q, S.

That means, neither of Q, S, U and R are married in 1991, thus either T or P married in 1991.

  • The one who is married in 1991 sits immediate right of the one whose age is 32 years.
  • R is younger than P and T but elder than the one who was married in 1992.

P, T > R > 1992.

  • Two persons sit between the one who was married in 1991 and S.
  • S neither sits adjacent to R nor eldest.

Since, either T or P must be married in 1991, thus P must be married in 1991.

That means, in case (1) & case (2) P sits third from the left end, in case (3a) P sits second from the left end, case (3b) is not valid.

  • S was not married in an odd-numbered year.
  • The second youngest one sits immediate left of the one who was married in 1995.

Since, atleast two persons are younger to P (1991) and T, thus P and T can’t be second youngest.

That means, in case (2) age of R must be 31 years, case (1) & case (3a) is not valid.

Based on the above given information we have:

Case (3b) is not valid as the one who is married in 1991 sits immediate right of the one whose age is 32 years, case (1) & case (3a) is not valid as the second youngest one sits immediate left of the one who was married in 1995.

Again, we have:

  • The one whose age is even was married in 1994.
  • Q is married to any year after S but before U.

S > Q > U

Since, U is the eldest among all and ages of T and R are respectively 32 years and 31 years, thus, ages of Q must be 36 years and was married in 1994.

That means, S must be the youngest and was married in 1992.

Based on theabove given information we have the final arrangement as follows:

1) Answer: A

2) Answer: B

3) Answer: D

4) Answer: B

5) Answer: E
